Responsible Gaming

Our Commitment to Responsible Gaming

At BetVisa, we want gaming to stay what it’s meant to be — fun. As a platform licensed and regulated by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), we take our responsibility to player welfare seriously. This page outlines the tools, resources, and support available to help you or someone you care about play in a way that stays safe, controlled, and enjoyable.

What Is Responsible Gambling

Gambling should always be treated as a form of entertainment — never as a way to earn income, solve financial problems, or escape stress. Responsible gambling means playing within limits you’ve set for yourself, being aware of how much time and money you’re spending, and recognizing when it’s time to take a break.

We encourage every BetVisa player to set a personal budget before playing, stick to it regardless of wins or losses, and avoid “chasing losses” by increasing bets to try to win back money already spent.

Recognizing the Signs of Problem Gambling

Problem gambling can affect anyone. Being aware of the early warning signs can help you or someone close to you take action before it becomes harder to manage. Common signs include:

  • Spending more time or money on gambling than intended
  • Chasing losses by betting more to try to recover them
  • Borrowing money or using funds meant for essentials (rent, bills, food) to gamble
  • Hiding gambling activity from family or friends
  • Feeling anxious, irritable, or unable to stop despite wanting to
  • Neglecting work, relationships, or responsibilities because of gambling

If any of these feel familiar, it doesn’t mean something is wrong with you — it means it may be time to use one of the tools below or reach out for support.

Tools to Help You Stay in Control

BetVisa provides account-level tools to help you manage your play:

  • Deposit Limits — Set daily, weekly, or monthly limits on how much you can deposit. Once set, these limits take effect immediately.
  • Time/Session Reminders — Stay aware of how long you’ve been playing.
  • Cooling-Off Period — Temporarily pause your account for a set period without needing to provide a reason.
  • Self-Exclusion — Block your own access to the Platform for an extended period (see below).

We recommend setting limits before you feel you need them — it’s far more effective than trying to stop mid-session.

Self-Exclusion Program

If you feel you need a longer break from gambling, BetVisa supports PAGCOR’s national self-exclusion framework. Through this program, you may request to be excluded from PAGCOR-regulated gaming platforms, including BetVisa, for a period of:

  • 6 months (this initial period is irrevocable once submitted)
  • 1 year
  • 5 years

Once approved, your details are added to PAGCOR’s National Database of Restricted Persons (NDRP), which applies across all PAGCOR-operated and regulated gaming platforms — not just BetVisa.

Family members may also apply for exclusion on behalf of a spouse, child, or parent who they believe needs protection from gambling-related harm.

To apply, visit PAGCOR’s official exclusion page at pagcor.ph/regulatory/exclusion.php, or contact our Customer Support team for guidance on the process.

Age Verification & Protecting Minors

BetVisa is strictly for players 18 years old and above. We require identity verification (KYC) before granting full access to deposits, withdrawals, and gameplay, in line with PAGCOR’s enforcement standards. If you’re a parent or guardian concerned about a minor accessing gambling platforms, we recommend using device-level parental control software as an additional safeguard.

Getting Support

You don’t have to face this alone. The following resources are available to Filipino players and their families:

PAGCOR National Problem Gambling Helpline (NPGH)

(02) 8248-9568 — Available 24/7

Operated in partnership with Seagulls Flock Organization Inc., the NPGH offers confidential counseling, guidance, and referrals for individuals and families affected by gambling-related concerns.

National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) Crisis Hotline

1553 or 1800-1888-1553

For immediate danger or a mental health crisis, please contact the NCMH Crisis Hotline directly.

BetVisa Customer Support

Our team is also available 24/7 to help you set limits, request a cooling-off period, or guide you through the self-exclusion process.

Supporting a Friend or Family Member

If someone close to you shows signs of problem gambling, approach the conversation with care rather than judgment. Focus on how their behavior has affected you or the relationship, rather than accusing them. Encourage them to use available tools like deposit limits or self-exclusion, and let them know that support resources like the NPGH are available for families too — not just the individual gambling.
